Privacy Policy
Effective October 1, 2026.
In short: playing the computer, the school, the daily puzzle and the score keeper work offline and keep everything on your phone. To play online the server needs an anonymous ID and the nickname you choose; for rankings, the country and province you choose (which are published); for notifications, your device’s notification token. No ads, no tracking, and we never sell any of it.
This policy explains what data Mi Frente: Dominican Dominoes (the “app”) uses, why, and how you can delete it. The app is published by Rafael Vásquez (“we”). Contact us at support@mifrente.com.
1. What stays on your phone
Your games against the computer, a game in progress, your statistics, your daily puzzle streak, the Tour of the provinces, the score keeper and your settings are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. We don’t receive them. Deleting the app deletes them.
2. Playing online
The first time you play online, our server gives you an anonymous player ID (a random number, signed so nobody can pose as you). It is not linked to your name, email, phone number or Apple ID. Along with it we use:
- Your nickname, which others at the table see. It goes through an offensive-word filter.
- What happens in the game: the tiles dealt and played, passes and points, so the server can deal in secret, referee and keep score. Nobody receives another player’s hand. When a table finishes and closes, the server deletes the game.
- Quick phrases you send at the table. They come from a fixed list; there is no free-text chat.
Like any internet service, our provider (Cloudflare) receives your IP address to route the connection. We don’t store it in your profile or use it to find out where you are.
3. Ranked games, rankings and tournaments
If you play ranked games or tournaments, the server keeps your ranked profile, tied to your player ID:
- your nickname and the title you choose to show;
- the country and the province you represent, if you choose them. The app suggests the country from your phone’s region setting, never uses GPS, and the province is optional (“Prefer not to say”);
- your rating, division and season and weekly points, games played and won, streaks and milestones (capicúas, lisas, blocks…), trophies and tournament points;
- abandoned games, time-outs for abandoning and your games-finished percentage.
Country and province: chosen by the player (never inferred by the app or the server) and published in the rankings and tournament tables next to your nickname. You can change or remove them any time in Settings › Ranked and privacy.
What others see: rankings, tournaments and your public profile show your nickname, title, the country and province you chose, rating, division, trophies and games-finished percentage. Your internal ID, IP address or real location are never published.
Hiding: in Settings › Ranked and privacy you can turn off “Show me in public rankings”. You then won’t appear in any public or friends table and won’t compete for “number one” spots (tournament trophies can still be won). Your public profile is reduced to nickname, division and games-finished percentage, which stays visible so people know who finishes what they start.
Deleting your ranked profile: in Settings › Ranked and privacy, “Delete my ranked profile” removes it from the server along with your trophy case. This can’t be undone. You can also ask us by email.
Deleting all your data
- From the server: in Settings › Ranked and privacy, “Delete my ranked profile” immediately deletes your profile, rating, points, country and province, and trophy case.
- From your phone: “Reset statistics” in Statistics clears your history; deleting the app removes everything it stores on the device.
- Everything else (your device’s notification token and reports you appear in): email support@mifrente.com and we’ll delete it.
4. Reports and moderation
If you report someone (offensive nickname, abandoning, cheating or other), we keep the report with both player IDs, the reason and the time so we can review it. If three different people report a nickname within a week, it is hidden in the tables (“Player 4F2A”) until we review it. Reports are deleted after 180 days.
5. Notifications
The app asks for permission to send notifications the first time you join an online table, never when you open it. If you allow them:
- Apple gives the app a device token. We send it to our server, with your player ID and language, only to tell you it’s your turn or that you were invited to a table. It doesn’t carry your name or number.
- The daily reminder is scheduled by the app on your own phone; it doesn’t go through our server.
You can turn notifications off any time in iPhone Settings › Notifications › Mi Frente, and the daily reminder in the app’s Settings. To have us delete your device token, email us.
6. FaceTime (SharePlay)
When you play over FaceTime, the only thing the app shares through the call is the private table code. Apple handles the call; we don’t receive its audio, video or who is on it.
7. Game Center
If you sign in to Game Center, achievements and leaderboards for offline play are kept by Apple under its own privacy policy. You don’t have to use it: the app works the same.
8. Purchases
In-app purchases (“Dominó Completo” and add-ons) are charged by Apple. We never see your card or payment details; the app only checks with Apple what you bought. With Family Sharing, Dominó Completo is shared with your Apple family group.
9. What we DON’T do
- No ads, and no third-party advertising or analytics tools.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and we don’t ask to.
- We don’t sell, rent or trade your data.
- We don’t ask for your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
10. Where data is stored and for how long
The online game server runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States), which stores data on our behalf. Tables are deleted when they close; your ranked profile lasts until you delete it or ask us to; reports, 180 days.
11. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child gave us data, email us and we’ll delete it.
12. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete data tied to your player ID. Email support@mifrente.com with your nickname and, if you can, the dates of your recent online games, so we can find your ID. We reply within 30 days.
13. Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page with its date. If the change is significant, we’ll also say so in the app.
